Dix
Stadium
Kent, OH
Located in Kent, OH, Dix
Stadium has been the home of the Golden Flashes for over three
decades. By the mid 1960’s, a new stadium was needed for the football
program. In 1969, construction began and was completed by the fall of
that year, giving the Golden Flashes a new home.

The stadium was named
in honor of Robert Dix, a member of the Kents Board of Trustees. Over
the years, the capacity at Dix Stadium has remained unchanged at
nearly 30,000. Within the past ten years, there have been several
additions to the stadium. Lights were added in 1996, the grass field
was replaced by Astroturf, and a new video/scoreboard has been added.
The stadium consists of four separate single tier grandstands on each
side of the field. |
