Doyt Perry Stadium
Bowling Green, OH

Known for its school colors of burnt orange and seal brown, and the school mascot of the Falcon, Doyt Perry Stadium has been the home of the football team since 1966. For nearly four decades, prior to moving into Doyt Perry Stadium, the football team played at University Stadium. However, by the mid 1960s the stadium was beginning to show its age and the time had arisen for a new facility to be built for the football program. Money was allotted and construction on a new stadium began and was completed in 1966.

Originally known as BGSU Stadium, the Falcons played their first game at the stadium on October 1, 1966 against Dayton. When it opened, the stadium had a capacity of just over 23,000. Over the years, there have been several additions to the stadium, including the addition of bleachers in both endzones in 1982. A stadium club housing 106 luxury seats and the Presidents box was constructed on the west side of the stadium. In 1992, BGSU Stadium was renamed in honor of former Falcons coach and athletic director, Doyt L. Perry. Today, Doyt Perry Stadium has a seating capacity of 23,724 consisting of single tier grandstands on both sides of the playing field and in the endzones. Before the start of the 2007 season, the grass playing field was replaced by Fieldturf. Furthermore, the north endzone was removed allowing for the construction of the Sebo Athletic Center.
