Bulldog
Stadium
Fresno, CA
Home of the Fresno State
Bulldogs, Bulldog Stadium has been the home of the football program
for nearly 25 years. In the late 1970’s a new stadium was needed for
the football team. Local residents helped raise $7 million for
construction of a new stadium and by 1980 a new stadium was built.
Opening on November 15, 1980, the Bulldogs opened the stadium against
Montana State.

Nearly ten years later as fan support for the team
continued to increase, funds were allocated for an addition to the
stadium. In 1991, nearly 10,000 seats were added to the stadium,
including in the north and south endzones. This expansion also
included 22 luxury suites. Today Bulldog Stadium has a seating
capacity of just over 41,000. Fans still come out to cheer on their
Bulldog team. |
